I also helped script, film and edit content for social media, including a video explainer series about the Texas Legislature. You can find all my Statesman bylines here.
As much as I love combing through public records, people are always at the heart of my stories, and don't you let me forget it. Whether it was highlighting positive community efforts or showing the human toll of the Central Texas floods, I will always let people tell their own stories.

I fully fall into the stereotype of the Gen Z intern who helped run the Statesman's social media, and I embrace it. I worked with editors to coordinate many stories that ended up on the publication's Instagram and TikTok accounts, including posts that surveyed the damage of the Central Texas floods, explained congressional redistricting and gave closer looks into anti-ICE protests. I also scripted and filmed a video explainer series about the Texas legislature, covering bills from public education to immigration enforcement.
